The History of the
Inn
Since its construction in 1895, the pink house at 120
South Union has been home to a local oil producer, a community physician and
now Olean’s first Bed and Breakfast Inn.
In 1988 the Marra family purchased the home and proceeded to restore and
renovate it into the charming Old Library Inn.
The exterior of the home remains basically as it was years ago, with its
towering brick chimney, beautiful bay windows and several ornate copulas
which adorn the roof. The elegant stained glass windows remain today, adding
an air of romance and history to the buildings features. Inside, the rich
woodwork of oak, blistered maple and mahogany, parquet floors and antique
furnishings provide a warm and inviting atmosphere.
Simply enjoy a quiet evening in these beautiful surroundings. Whether you
are away from home on business, or a romantic getaway the staff of the Old
Library Inn look forward to making your stay a memorable one. Please feel
